I'm going to keep using this blog for crochet and general craftiness - not that I've been up to much lately - but I've got a new blog: From Garden to Table. That's where I'll be putting my garden and cooking information. Not that I'm an expert, but surely someone can learn from my mistakes, lol.

Pictures...of the garden

I tried to take some pictures of the garden, but it's hard to get the camera to focus on those tiny sprouts! So, excuse the blurriness...

This is a spinach sprout:

The big tall things are tomato sprouts. They came up a lot faster than I expected (4 days!), and I hadn't put a light over them, so they are a little leggy. I hope they do okay!
Those tiny green spots are strawberry seedlings:
And this last one is pepper. I'm not sure if it's one of my bells or a hot pepper, since my cats went commando on my labels, lol.

We are about three weeks from our average last frost date, but I'm going to take a chance and plant a few more things in the hope that we aren't going to have another frost. It looks like we might be headed for drought conditions, so the earlier (and cooler) in the year I can grow, the better. We are already 4" below our average rainfall!
